Whitney Houston Tribute

Continuing our monthly Upper Extremities and Expression Theme, Saturday’s class has a theme of "I Wanna Dance”. (Inspired by the legendary Whitney Houston)

In the 8:45am 5 stages class we explore the Elbow and Forearms, exploring how, like the entire body, spirals are part of how the body moves and thrives. Also learning more about this fascinating “simply hinge pivot” joint and how it functions.

This Nia 5 Stages class is most often is described as a luxurious healing hour of setting the focus for the 10am movement experience that follows.

The 10am class will be “I Wanna Dance”, an experience Helen Terry has adapted from the Nia Experience Birth. The class will focus on 3 planes of movement in relationship with expression.  We will dance to the music of Whitney Houston.

Here’s more about the music and the wonderful artist Whitney Houston.

When you sign up for a class you are automatically sent the Zoom link for class.

The link is the same each week.

I almost wish I could be more exciting,
that I could match what is happening out there to me.
— Whitney Houston

Fabulous recent movie to entertain watching to enjoy fabulous music and more insight into the story of Whitney Houston.

What’s black? I’ve been trying to figure this out since I’ve been in the business. I don’t know how to sing black-and I don’t know how to sing white, either. I know how to sing. Music is not a color to me. It’s an art.
